Elite Athlete Mini-Expo
Friday, 17 May 2024
Five Old Boys returned to the School last week to share their insights into elite athlete university programs with students from Knox and neighbouring girls' schools.

The Elite Athlete Mini-Expo was an initiative of the School’s PEAK Program, a program which has been designed to support high performing student-athletes, i.e. students who are considering a career in elite sport to achieve excellence in sport and also to perform at their best academically.

Mitch Smith (OKG21), who is in his third-year of studying teaching at the University of Sydney, spoke with the co-lead of PEAK Program, Marvin Fidel (KGS Basketball Strength and Conditioning Coach) about balancing demanding training schedules and academic pressures.

Fellow Old Boys involved in the expo included:
Charlie Anderson (OKG22)
Nathan Charles (OKG06)
Ned Ericsson (OKG23) and
Dom Goddard (OKG21)

Reece Potter, the School’s Head Coach of Basketball jointly leads the Program with Marvin, and is one of several PEAK Program mentors from the Knox Sports and Aquatic Academy (KSAA).
