2024 Archibald Finalist

Tim Owers, former Assistant Head of Visual Arts at the School, has been named as a Finalist in the 2024 Archibald Prize. Tim's work, 'On the bench and on the cusp (portrait of Cortnee Vine)' portrays the moments before Vine came off the bench in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. The Portrait will be on display as part of the Archibald Exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW from 8 June – 8 September 2024. Tim, who left KGS in 2022 to invest in his freelance artistic practice, currently has a solo exhibition on display in Willoughby. The exhibition, titled Anatomy Of The Angophora, showcases nearly thirty of his landscape paintings and drawings. Its open until Saturday 8 June at Ditty Wheels Gallery.
