Euan Liney (OKG21) has been selected in the Swimming Australia team for the 2025 World Aquatic Open Water Swimming World Cup. Nick Dobson (OKG08) has also been selected as a coach on the team which will travel to Soma Bay, Egypt for the competition this month.

The selections follow the Australian Open Water Championships and OceanSwim Festival held in Busselton, WA last month, which featured a team from the Knox Pymble Swim Club among an international field of 400 swimmers.

Euan and Jack Cummins (OKG23) both swam the 10km and 5km races, with Euan placing 5th in the 5km event – just 20 seconds behind the winner - and 7th in the 10km. Jack achieved a significant PB to finish 20th in the 10km and 21st in the 5km event.

Director of Swimming, Katie Mc Cormick said: "Fulfilling their shared long-term goal to experience of Open Water international swimming is a great achievement for both Euan and Nick. Euan would not be performing at this level without the guidance and commitment of Nick and fellow performance coach, Gio Postiglione."
