Francis Kwon (OKG24) and current Year 10 student, Rory, both taught by Philip Swanton (OKG69), recently sat for their AMEB exams, with Francis gaining his LMusA Diploma in organ. Philip "grew up" alongside the Ronald Sharp organ in the William McIlrath War Memorial Chapel at Knox, and was the School's first organist (1965-1969). He subsequently lived and worked in Switzerland for 15 years, giving recitals on many of Europe's finest organs. Philip returned to Australia with his family in 1992 and retired at the end of 2024 after 33 years as principal organ teacher at Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
