Knox Centenary Tattoo: Community Expression of Interest

The School is calling on Old Boys, Parents and Staff to get involved as Pipers, Drummers, Trumpet players or Choristers, for a possible opportunity to perform at the Centenary Tattoo on Saturday, 1 June 2024. NB for individual performance parts, auditions may be held. This expression of interest form is for Old Boys, Parents and Staff (students participating will be invited to do so through their relevant co-curricular activities). Trumpet Fanfare The trumpet players are to perform as part of an opening Fanfare at the Tattoo,100 trumpets for 100 years. Music will be made available by Thursday 1 June 2023. Dust off your trumpet, and commence your return to the trumpet with some long tones, scales and familiar tunes! Pipes and Drums The massed Pipes and Drums will frame the Tattoo evening and we are looking for pipers, drummers and drum majors to be part of this spectacular community event. There will be some new music to learn and selected participants will need to be available for regular rehearsals. There are a specific number of places available for each instrument so final selection will be confirmed depending on expression of interest received. Choir Our choristers will not only have a featured role on stage during the performance, we will also be providing support for a number of other items in the show! We look forward to Old Boys, Parents, former choristers and Knox Staff singing their hearts out!
