Two events in the 2023 Knox in Concert Festival Series will be presented next week (w/c 22 May) in the Wenkart Theatre. All are welcome to attend. Tuesday 23 May, 7pm - Come along to hear 130 students present a highly engaging and diverse virtuosic program for the ‘Orchestral Night at the Proms’. With works by Saint-Saens, Stravinsky and John Williams, and performances by the Knox Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Strings and String Orchestra, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. Thursday, 25 May, 6pm - Jazz Café – An event showcasing the talents of SEVEN Jazz Ensembles (152 students) from the Knox Academy of Performing Arts (KAPA) Jazz Program. With featured selections from the Classic Swing Era right through to the popular Jazz contemporaries, these bands and ensembles will present a varied selection of Swing, Funk, Rock, Latin and Samba tunes throughout their epic night of great jazz!
