Class of 1963 - 60th Anniversary
Monday, 9 October 2023
The Reunion of the Class of '63 was a lunch at the School on Friday 6 October with 29 attendees.

Some had changed minimally except for a few grey hairs, while some were harder to put a name to. Many thanks to those who were able to make it and several who travelled significant distances to get there. Conversation was plentiful and we managed to steer clear of too much politics.

There were a number of the potential attendees who were prevented from making an appearance for health reasons of their own, or a partner, including some with quite serious issues. Others had overseas travel commitments which made it impossible for them to make it.

Thanks go to the Committee of Brian Gill, David Gray, Vern Hirst, Brendon Jack and Roger Knight who all spent time chasing up potential attendees. The OKGA also provided a tour of much of the newer parts of the School. Also, our appreciation goes to the School for providing the venue.

It was noted that of 120 who made up the final year, we have lost 22 who have passed on.

We also noted that many in attendance thought we could gather more frequently and a group of us will consider options in this regard. Any thoughts of others, who didn’t make the lunch, would be welcome – please contact one of the committee members.
