Dedicated to providing ‘outstanding grounding in orchestral performance’ the KSO’s diverse repertoire selection includes original major works, overtures, orchestral classics, film scores, sacred works, contemporary and popular literature.

The KSO performs at all important Knox Grammar School functions, school and community events, annual Presentation Day Ceremonies, featured large scale events such as Knox In Concert Orchestral Night at the Proms, and international tours such as the 2015 KSO China Tour and this upcoming 2023 Tour of Croatia, Slovenia and Italy.

The KSO are regular participants in the annual Sydney Eisteddfod, having retained a series of consecutive championships, accolades and awards within the highly distinguished Robert & Elizabeth Albert (25 years and under) Symphony Orchestra during the past 10 years.

Developing, fostering and nurturing the talents of younger Knox musicians within the KSO, through quality musicianship and educated mentoring are the essential ingredients of the KSO’s success.

KSO is conducted by Mr James Brice OAM, Head of Knox Academy of Performing Arts.
