Ride with Richter SpinalCure
Wednesday, 22 November 2023
Alex Richter (OKG20) returned to the Senior School this week for a special Ride with Richter event.

After injuring his spinal cord while mountain biking in 2019, age 16, Alex spent months in intensive care. He had to learn how to breathe again, but Alex’s perseverance has since seen him graduate with his cohort, attend university and drive a modified car independently. He has even returned to sport – skiing in an adaptive ski chair and riding a three-wheeled electric mountain bike.

Soon Alex will take part in SpinalCure Project Spark, a clinical trial which aims to test, validate and develop neuro stimulation treatments for people with a spinal cord injury.

Listen to Alex, son of James Richter (OKG90), talk about Project Spark on the SpinalCure website.
