Jack Pace Shield 23/24 begins

The Knox Old Boys’ Cricket Club commenced its 2023/24 Jack Pace Shield campaign against Colleagues Cricket Club under sunny skies and on a lush Gillespie outfield. Losing the toss, we were surprisingly sent into bat but started well with Jack Stocks (OKG13) (39) and Tim Lazarus (OKG14) (30) reaching 63 runs in the first 10 overs. A middle-order stumble occurred but Will Seitam (OKG19) (45) and Oscar Alcock (OKG14) (29) revived the innings. Our total of 210 proved challenging when Cam Wilson (OKG21) (3-15 off 7) took a wicket with the first ball of the innings. Despite a century by Colleagues' first drop, Will Seitam (2-15 off 5) and Jack Stocks (2-9 off 3) secured a 56-run victory.
