Calling for written stories
Friday, 24 November 2023
Who has made a positive contribution to Knox over the past Century? What are your fondest memories from your school days?

The School is inviting Old Boys to write short, true stories for the Knox Centenary Website. Launched last month, the Centenary Website will be updated regularly throughout 2024.

You are invited to submit a story about your connection to the School, whether that be related to Sport, Cadets, Pipes and Drums, the Creative and Performing Arts, Academics or any other Co-curricular activity.

Please note, stories will be reviewed and edited before publication, with a suggested revised version returned to you before it is uploaded to the Centenary Website. Wherever possible, we would appreciate receiving a photo (of high quality, if possible) related to your story to accompany the text for publication.

Please visit this page of the Centenary Website for a guide on the type of content we are seeking. As you will see, this section, the “Story Wall”, is a place for personal reflections.

The maximum word count for each story is 750 words, however contributions can be as short as a paragraph (approx. 60 words).

Please note:
  • Not every story submitted is guaranteed publication.
  • The Centenary Website will be updated throughout 2024, and afterwards, remain accessible indefinitely. By submitting a story, you agree to its availability online for the long-term.
  • Extracts of selected stories will be highlighted and shared in next year’s OKGA eNews.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss your story idea before submission, please email the OKGA Office or call 02 9487 0419.
