Old Boys' War Memorial Rededication
Wednesday, 20 March 2024
On Friday 15 March, the School and OKGA conducted a Rededication Service for the Knox Old Boys’ War Memorial. Initially unveiled by then Prime Minister Robert Menzies on Anzac Day, 1955, the War Memorial in the Memorial Quadrangle was significantly restored over the 2023-24 Summer holidays.

Last week’s intimate Service was held for the known family members of the Old Boys whose names are listed on the Roll of Honour.

Paul Gladigau (OKG85), on behalf of the OKGA, laid a wreath alongside CUO and Captain of the School, Zoltan Reed; Ted Metcalf (OKG55) said a prayer while the Lament was played by Pipe Major Lochlan Stevenson, son of Andrew Stevenson (OKG88).

The refurbished War Memorial will also be acknowledged at the Anzac Memorial Service on Sunday, 19 May.
